It turns out that more often than not the answer is “because that’s what I’ve been told to do.” In other words, sampling is something that a previous company has advised their customer to do, even though in many cases it’s completely unnecessary.

Staffordshire County Hospital reported intermittent supply issues causing disruption to the Creche area. This issue that had been running for around four months before Severn Trent Services were asked to investigate.

Oren Environmental and the Big Garden Birdwatch
Between 27-29 January 2023, twitchers everywhere will participate in the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch campaign.
The initiative encourages people to spend one hour of their weekend logging the birds they see. This helps the RSPB to monitor the volume and profile of birds across the UK.
